To the rescue...

Walking on the beach this morning I found a freshwater yabbie! He was not looking at all well. The wetlands have overflowed into the sea after all the rain we've had and he'd obviously been swept out to sea. I decided to put him back where he belonged so I picked him up very carefully and carried him back to fresh water. He revived immediately and I think he was very appreciative of my efforts. Luckily there was no one on the beach this morning to witness this!!  They might have thought I was a bit weird!  (Isn't he beautiful! Click on photo to enlarge.)

  1. Hi Deb. Really like the appliqued family. Very quirky. I really like the sun too. You are so good with fabric and needle. I am impressed with your picking up the yabbie. It resembles a lobster but I don't think I would dare pick it up with those claws. Very kind of you to relocate it. That is the sort of thing my eldest brother does. Have a great week.
